Overview
Ente Naadu, the first of its kind Kerala Tourism NRK Meet was held at the Le Meridien International Convenetion Centre in Cochin on December 23, 2008.
Over ten million Non Resident Keralites (NRKs) play a key role in spreading the social and cultural heritage of God's Own Country around the world, contributing substantially to the growth of Kerala. Ente Naadu aims to further strengthen the State's progress as one of the leading tourist destinations in the world through encouraging better participation of NRKs.
This unique venture presented Non-Resident Keralites (NRKs) with an exclusive platform to partner Government-backed tourism initiatives to explore new business avenues in tourism projects proposed by resident entrepreneurs.
Ente Naadu Kerala Tourism NRK Meet, a Government of Kerala initiative, was organised by the Tourism Department in association with the Industries Department and managed by Tourist Resorts Kerala Ltd.
The project partners associated with the meet were Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC), Kerala Financial Corporation (KFC), Non-Resident Keralites Affairs Department (NORKA), NORKA-Roots, Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) and the Information & Public Relations Department (I&PRD), Govt. of Kerala.
More than 500 participants, from India and abroad, attended the meet which showcased potential investment opportunities to benefit from the fast growing tourism industry.
